Chowns Mill Road Closure CANCELLED
Due to the adverse weather conditions and high winds forecasted this weekend, we've cancelled this weekend's (Saturday & Sunday) planned surfacing works and road closure of the A45EB between Chowns Mill junction and Stanwick.

Bus Consultation
Both unitary councils are consulting on their Bus Services Improvement Plan (BSIP) (see https://northnorthants.citizenspace.com/travel-choices/bus-service-improvement/). The consultation is being carried out jointly but the responses will be collated separately for each authority to inform their individual BSIPs.

The Planned Road Closures for the A45 Chowns Mill Junction for September & October.
The closures are necessary to safely carry out surfacing works between Stanwick and Chowns Mill and other areas of the junction.

First Local Traders Market opened by Mayor
On Saturday Irthlingborough held its first "Local Traders" Market on Parsons Green opened by the Mayor.
13 stalls set up under the trees selling a variety of items hand made cards, jewellery and garden products featured amongst the products for sale.
The weather was dry and the event was opened by the Town's Mayor and the Town Crier by the cutting of a ribbon.

A45 Chowns Mill Improvement Scheme update.
From Monday 6 September the Chowns Mill junction will be controlled by the new traffic lights system, traffic will travel through the new A45 central carriageway and the A6 Bypass / Higham Ferrers traffic will travel around the gyratory of the new 'half hamburger' island.
