Yew Wood
Following several meetings with the church and tree officer the council have had to remove a yew tree that was growing near the church.
This wood is free for anyone who wishes to collect but needs seasoning for 12 months before you burn it.

Plaque unveiled at Les O'Dell Park
Today the mayor Cllr John Farrar and his consort. Cllr Caroline Cross and residents were present when the daughter of Les O'Dell unveiled a plaque in his memory at the park that is named after him.
Les O'Dell was the last allotment owner before it was turned into a park.

Floral Tributes
Thank you to everyone who has left floral tributes at the base of the flag pole at Parsons Green.
Please note that all flowers and tributes will be sensitively removed on the morning of Tuesday 20th September following the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. Any flowers, including those laid on the day of the funeral will be removed on this day.

Proclamation of the Accession of His Majesty King Charles III
On Sunday 11th September 2022 at 2.30pm on Parsons Green the Mayor Cllr J Farrar, Irthlingborough Town Councillors and Officers, members of the clergy, the Royal British Legion and Irthlingborough residents joined together for the Proclamation of the Accession of His Majesty King Charles III.

As we now enter a period of public mourning the Planning and Full Council meetings due to take place tomorrow 13th September are now cancelled.
They will be re-scheduled.

Queen Elizabeth II
Irthlingborough Town Council join with people across the country and the globe in sharing their sadness at the passing of our late Sovereign, Queen Elizabeth. We remember with affection and gratitude the lifetime of service given by our longest-reigning Monarch.
