Northamptonshire's Police, Crime and Fire Commissioner is recruiting young people to be part of the Northamptonshire 2020/21 OPFCC Youth Commission.
The OPFCC Youth Commission has been set up by the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner to ensure that the views of young people are heard, and help change services for the better.

Every year Northamptonshire Libraries deliver the Summer Reading Challenge, which challenges children to read 6 books during the summer holidays. It has been proven that children who don't continue reading during the summer have a lower reading age when they return to school in September than that before the summer. Water Safety Message
That time of year and after the lifting of some lockdown restrictions there has been a noticeable feeling of freedom. We are expecting youths to be tempted to swim in the River NENE or local lakes.
Please discourage those you know, that may be tempted.
The NENE is slow moving but the strength of the current is deceiving.
Lots of unseen underwater snags, weed and silt.

Highways England is following government policy and for the safety of all, they are asking customers wishing to use the free shuttle bus service to wear a face mask otherwise they will be denied travel.
The shuttle bus will have plastic shielding between the driver and passenger area and the bus will be cleaned after each trip.

A45 Chowns Mill Roundabout Improvement Scheme

Despite several COVID-19 challenges, we've now completed the first phase of the work.
The permanent traffic management system (Multibloc) is now in place, which means both lanes of the A45 dual carriageway are now open but with narrower lanes.
