Patrols by officers from East Northamptonshire Council and Northamptonshire Constabulary have shown that most people and businesses are complying with coronavirus restrictions.

East Northamptonshire Council has announced a further business support funding package to support businesses that have had to close or have been severely impacted due to the recent lockdown measures.
These grants differ from those offered earlier in the year, in amounts available and eligibility criteria. Previous schemes are now closed.

The Wildlife Trust have a contractor undertaking some repairs at the bailey bridge (at the back of the Wren shop by Rushden Lakes) this week. The purpose of the works is to improve the access to the bridge by smoothing the ramp on one side and by removing a trip hazard in the other. The works are expected to start next Monday the 16th November, and will be finished on Friday the 20th.

Along with the Food Bank and Community the Town Council has received a Community Champions Award from ACRE.
The food bank was in huge demand. They frequently gave out 2-3 parcels a day compared to the usual 1 or 2 a week. Whilst their pantry was already fairly well-stocked, we received many food and money donations. Regular cheques from Thrapston & Raunds Rotary Club, a weekly delivery of food items... Read More »

Under the new government guidelines our parks and play areas will remain open during this second lockdown. However, the outdoor gym equipment will be closed.
