Proclamation for VE Day 80th Anniversary
This morning at 7.45am a lone piper played and at 8am the Town Crier read the VE Day 80th Anniversary Proclamation starting off the days events in Irthlingborough.

7:30pm: Raunds Temperance Band: Music from the era
7:45pm: *Fish & Chips: Marquee set up for residents to purchase fish and chips and join their friends and neighbours to listen to the singer and band
8:15pm - Singer - Tracey Barker - Evocative songs from the era
8:45pm: Raunds Temperance Band: Music from the era
9:30pm: The lighting of the Beacon - The Lord Lieutenant (or Deputy)
The lighting of the lanterns of Peace
all join in with the singing of the hymn 'I vow to thee my Country'
9:30pm: The reading of the VE Day Tribute
9:35pm: The Last Post – being played from St. Peters Church tower
