NOTIFICATION OF ESSENTIAL MAINTENACE WORKS A14 J9-J10 Drainage renewals

Highways England will be carrying out essential drainage maintenance works on the A14 between Junction 9 and Junction 10, works will be carried out in both directions. During our scheme of work, we'll

• Clear vegetation

• Repair and replace existing drainage infrastructure including installation of new filter drains.

Once completed, all road users will benefit from improved road safety and will provide relief to the existing highways system.

When will the work take place?

Work is due to start 27 March 2023 and is scheduled for completion in summer 2023.

Please note that all our planned roadworks may be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

How will the work affect traffic? To keep our programme for these works as short as possible and to minimise disruption to the local community, residents, businesses and road users we'll work Monday to Friday, 8pm until 6am The works will be carried out under a full carriageway closure which includes slip roads. We'll also have 1 lane closure on the opposite carriageway with a 50 mph speed restriction in place.
