Opening of Rushden Lakes Recovery Hub

Opening of Rushden Lakes Recovery Hub

East Northamptonshire Council, in partnership with The Crown Estate and others, have today on 11th December opened a business hub at Rushden Lakes to continue and extend the reach of the Recovery Through Enterprise scheme, offering support for businesses and residents alike.

Together, the partnership plans to offer 1-to-1 business advice, as well as access to a wide range of support webinars and resources, including a fast track job match scheme which aims to get those out of a job swiftly back into work.

The hub, which is situated at the Leisure Terrace at Rushden Lakes, will be open weekdays 9am-5pm, with some evening and weekend opening for those who cannot get to the hub during normal opening hours. A flexible approach will be adopted and opening hours may vary depending on demand.

Just like any other premises, Covid-19 rules will apply to those working in and visiting the hub and a full risk assessment has been carried out.

Partners who will be supporting the hub include:

  • The Crown Estate
  • SEMLEP
  • Federation of Small Businesses
  • University of Northampton
  • Tresham College
  • Bedford College
  • Prospects
  • Adult Skills
  • Building Business
  • The Mallows Company
  • Destination Nene Valley
  • Department for Work & Pensions
  • IPS Grow

This hub will complement the 'one stop shop' for business support that the University of Northampton already provides (details can be found at www.east-northamptonshire.gov.uk/recovery) and the support available at the Enterprise Centre East Northants.

Unit L10B, Rushden Lakes Shopping Park, Rushden.
