The Wildlife Trust have a contractor undertaking some repairs at the bailey bridge (at the back of the Wren shop by Rushden Lakes) this week. The purpose of the works is to improve the access to the bridge by smoothing the ramp on one side and by removing a trip hazard in the other. The works are expected to start next Monday the 16th November, and will be finished on Friday the 20th.

Along with the Food Bank and Community the Town Council has received a Community Champions Award from ACRE.
The food bank was in huge demand. They frequently gave out 2-3 parcels a day compared to the usual 1 or 2 a week.
