Due to the adverse weather conditions and high winds forecasted this weekend, we've cancelled this weekend's planned closure of the A45 / A6 Chowns Mill junction.

We appreciate that this is very short notice. We've carefully weighed up the information available and have decided to postpone the work for the safety of staff and the travelling public.

Ditchford Road Rushden Update

Notice from Highways

The carriageway was reinstated earlier today and we have inspected as need to ensure that this is cooled and set completely before allowing traffic to use. Particularly, as this weekend will have heavy use due to the HE full closure at Chowns Mill roundabout A45/A6. Closed 20.00 Friday – 05.00 Monday.

We are confident Ditchford will be ready to open at 15.00 today.
