Northants Highways Advice on Gritting
Northants Highways do not have the resources to grit all the roads and therefore provide grit bins. Each grit bin contains a mixture of salt/sand to be used on roads and paths.
If a bin is empty please report it on the Street Doctor system.

Due to the adverse weather conditions, tonight's planned closure of the A6 between Chowns Mill and Irthlingborough has been cancelled.

Highways England will be carrying out planned overnight road closures of the A6 arm of the Chowns Mill roundabout, followed by a full weekend closure of the A45 between Rushden Lakes and Chowns Mill
The closures are necessary to allow preparation for road formation works and for the safety of the public and staff.
