Highways England - A45 Chowns Mill - Road closure notification
Highways England reminds Drivers that the A45/A6 Chowns Mill junction in Northamptonshire is to be closed this weekend to allow extensive re-surfacing work to be carried out.
Highways England is investing £24 million to increase capacity at the roundabout which experiences severe congestion due to the amount of traffic on the A45 and A6, as well as local traffic accessing Higham Ferrers and Rushden.... Read More »

East Northamptonshire Champions celebrated
The Chairman of East Northamptonshire Council (ENC) has officially crowned the recipients of an award scheme set up to recognise the unsung heroes of the district.

Highways England have experienced some delays due to recent poor weather conditions, and they want to assure you that overall the project remains on track.
Over the next few weeks, we'll continue to make progress with the surfacing works of the A45 Chowns Mill junction.

Due to the adverse weather conditions and high winds forecasted this weekend, we've cancelled this weekend's planned closure of the A45 / A6 Chowns Mill junction.
We appreciate that this is very short notice. We've carefully weighed up the information available and have decided to postpone the work for the safety of staff and the travelling public.
