CPR & Defibrillator Training 2nd October 6.30pm - 8pm

Following the installation of a defibrillator at the Community Centre the Town Council has arranged for a demonstration and practice of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) & Defibrillator Training for up to 20 people for anyone who wishes to attend.

Date: Monday 2nd October 2023

Venue: Community Centre

Irthlingborough Market Moving to New Location from 7th October

The Monthly Market is moving to Church Street Car Park (opposite the co - op) from 7th October 9am - 1pm

Now we have more space we are looking for stalls to join our existing fruit & veg, cake and jewellery stalls.

Following the success of the last event Irthlingborough Town Council are going to hold another Garage Sale to coincide with the monthly market on Saturday 7th October 2023 10am until 4pm.

Last date to book a slot will be Monday 2nd October 2023. Details of properties taking part will be available on the market, from the library and cafes on the day.

Council Mourns Loss of Previous Councillor  David Lee

The Town Council was saddened to hear of the loss of former Councillor David Lee who recently passed away.

David, served on the Urban ,Town, District and County Council being elected the Chairman of Irthlingborough Town Council several times in 1973, 1985, 1993, 1994, 2002 and 2006.

He was also Chair of The Friends of St Peters Church in the Town for many years.

Irthlingborough's Market will be on Parsons Green on Saturday 2nd September 9am until 1pm.

Joining the fruit & veg stall is preserves and cheeses, cakes and bakes and the usual stalls.

Council Mourns loss of David Alabaster

Council Mourns loss of David Alabaster

The Town Council was saddened by the loss of former councillor David Alabaster who recently passed away.

David, was Chairman of Irthlingborough Town Council in 1989, 1991 and 1996.

As a mark of respect the town flag will be flown at half mast on Parsons Green until after the funeral.

There is a now a defibrillator installed on the outside of the Community Centre in Irthlingborough.

This was purchased from the Community Heartbeat Trust by Irthlingborough Town Council after it was requested by local residents.

Residents across North Northamptonshire are being asked for their views on a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) covering dog control.

Legacy orders in Kettering, Wellingborough and East Northants are all due to expire in November 2023, with no order currently in place in Corby.

New Dual Facility Bin

New Dual Facility Bin

The Town Council have replaced the general waste bin on Parsons' Green with a dual facility recycling bin in its bid to be more environmentally friendly.

We would therefore ask for your assistance with our efforts to recycle more waste.

The bin was purchased with a High Street funding grant which also paid for the new cycle port and wildlife benches in the Rest Gardens.
