"Working hard for the town of Irthlingborough"

Cllr Ethan Hopkinson

Having lived in Irthlingborough his whole life and gone through the Irthlingborough school system Ethan has always had a passion for our community and public service. This started with volunteering at Irthlingborough Library during his time at Huxlow during which time he also represented the school as Deputy Head Boy.
Ethan carried on his involvement in the local community when he worked with a number of local residents to establish Irthlingborough Youth Club where he still serves as a trustee.
Irthlingborough Youth Club provides young people with a safe place to relax and meet friends. The positive impact of the club was recognised by the Northamptonshire Association of Youth Clubs when we were awarded the 'Best New Youth Club of the Year Award' in 2019.
This sparked Ethan's interest in working in the charitable sector, first working in Community Fundraising for a palliative care provider in Bedfordshire and now responsible for establishing the fundraising offering for a small learning disability charity in Milton Keynes.
Ethan is also working with the Young Trustee Movement to promote the useful insight that young people can bring to boards of trustees.
